Master Woodworker Dave Rasmussen will guide you as you select your wood and glue it to prepare for finishing.
This has been a very popular class. Design and make your own wood cutting or serving board using either a straight stick (2 class periods) or a chevron (3 class periods) design. Instructor Dave Rasmussen will teach you how to use to several woodworking skills that you will use to create an amazing, beautiful, show-stopping cutting board. One class fee covers all sessions.
Students age 14 and older with basic woodworking skills are welcome. Please bring routers and palm and belt sanders if you have them to shorten time waiting for shared tools. Bring a tape measure, safety glasses and ear protection if you prefer your own.
Create a Cutting Board Day 1 Friday, October 18 - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Select your wood and glue it for the next steps.
Create a Cutting Board Day 2 Saturday, October 19 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sand and router your cutting board and finish the straight stick design cutting board.
Create a Cutting Board Day 3 Sunday, October 20 - 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Complete the chevron pattern cutting board.
The cost of the class is $58.00, the cost covers all three days of the class. This class has a maximum of 8 students. A minimum of 4 students need to be registered by Friday, October 11 in order to hold the class.
