Join us at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center as we host the first Outdoor Skills Academy Wild Mushroom Clinic. Outdoor enthusiasts Jill and Aaron Grenchik will instruct you on the identification of a variety of Michigan’s edible wild mushrooms. In addition, you will learn about proper handling techniques for transport, cleaning, consumption (including some samples) and home preservation, as well as tips on where to start looking.

Cost is $40, which includes lunch.

The class will start at 10 a.m. (doors open at 9:30) and will run four to five hours. We will start the day in the classroom and then move to the woods nearby.

Registration is required. Participation is limited to 30 students.
