Winter trail lit by lanterns

Enjoy a self-guided snowshoe hike or cross-country ski along a one mile loop of trail lit by kerosene lanterns. Bonfires will be at the Warming Shelter and Amphitheater to warm up participants. Free warm beverages will be available at the Amphitheater bonfire. Participants should start at the Warming Shelter and dress in layers to be prepared for the weather. Participants should start the hike any time between 6-7:30 p.m.  If there is not enough snow, the trail will still be lit for hiking. We will have 60 pairs snowshoes for children and adults to use on a first come, first served basis. Snowshoe sizes fit ages 8 and up. The hike may be canceled in the event of severe or icy weather conditions. Updates can be found on the Ludington State Park and Friends of Ludington State Park Facebook pages.
