Hardworking Stewardship Volunteers

Meet at the park headquarters. Please arrive on time as we will caravan to the work location. GPS coordinates: 42.324901, -85.351755.

Wind down the year by helping us oust black locust from our restored prairies!  Black locust is a pesky invader in our native prairie restorations. We’ll be cutting down young locusts before they have a chance to grow and invade further. We’ll be working in some open fields so please dress for the weather as it could be windy!

Volunteers are asked to register by using the volunteer registration form or via email freih@michigan.gov. Additional information and the Calendar of Volunteer Stewardship Workdays is available via the DNR website www.michigan.gov/dnrvolunteers. For more information about invasive species please visit michigan.gov/invasives.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
