Snowshoeing in the woods

Meet at the campground contact station.

Enjoy the view of the full moon and night sky while hiking approximately 2 miles through unbroken snow to the campground and back. A limited number of snowshoes are available to borrow on a first-come-first-served basis. Shoe fitting will begin at 7:30pm at the Campground Office. This event is great for all levels and ages as participants do not have to hike the full 2 miles. Participants are asked to refrain from using headlamps or flashlights unless needed to adjust shoes, etc. No reservations needed. The hike is subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. For the most up-to-date information call the Hartwick Pines Visitor Center.
