Brimely State Park Harvest Festival

Due to COVID-19 operational procedures and protocols designed to protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff, the DNR has scaled back some parts of our popular harvest festivals. Here’s what you need to know:

Some of your favorite fall activities will continue if everyone can maintain proper social distancing (at least 6 feet from people outside your household). It’s a good idea to make sure everyone keeps a face covering handy for crowded outdoor settings. The activities in store this year include:

  • Site decorating contest - Go all out with your site decorations so other campers can enjoy the sights as they stroll by. Just remember we’re discouraging interactive displays that invite guests onto your campsite. There will be a contest for best decorated site.
  • Scavenger hunt - instructions will be provided upon camper check-in.
  • Fall Coloring  and activity sheets - will be handed out upon camper check-in. Please bring your own colored pencils, crayons or markers.

Though all other activities, such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving/painting, pancake breakfast, chili cook-off, candy bar bingo and costume contests, aren’t a part of this year’s festivities, we can make sure the tradition continues! We hope you’ll be a part of it, and we look forward to welcoming you for some festive, fall fun. For additional information, please contact the park at 906-248-3422.

Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
