Due to COVID-19 operational procedures and protocols designed to protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers, and staff, the DNR has scaled back some parts of our popular harvest festivals. Here’s what you need to know:
Some of your favorite fall activities will continue if everyone can maintain proper social distancing (at least 6 feet from people outside your household). It’s a good idea to make sure everyone keeps a face covering handy for crowded outdoor settings. The activities in store this year include:

  • Site decorating contest - Go all out with your site decorations so other campers can enjoy the sights as they stroll by. Just remember we’re discouraging interactive displays that invite guests onto your campsite. The best decoated site will win a hand crafted trophy with bragging rights!
  • Youth scavenger hunt

Though all other activities, such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, costume contests and games, aren’t a part of this year’s festivities, we hope you'll still join us to continue the tradition. We look forward to welcoming you for some festive, fall fun. All activities occur in the Lake Macatawa Campground. For more information, please call the park.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
