Haunted Lighthouse at Tawas Point State Park

Due to COVID-19 operational procedures and protocols designed to protect the health and safety of visitors, volunteers and staff, the DNR has scaled back some parts of our popular harvest festivals. Here's what you need to know:

This year we encourage you to go all out with your site decorations so other campers can enjoy the sights as they stroll by. Just remember interactive displays are discouraged because they attract guests into your campsite. To do this safely, please maintain proper social distancing (at least 6 feet from people outside your household) and make sure everyone keeps a face covering handy for crowded outdoor settings.

Though all other activities, such as trick-or-treating, hayrides, games and the haunted lighthouse, aren’t a part of this year’s festivities, we can make sure the tradition continues! We hope you’ll be a part of it, and we look forward to welcoming you for some festive, fall fun. For more information, please call the park.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. Make a camping reservation online at www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
