Come join us for a self-guided lantern-lit hike through the snow covered forests of Seven Lakes State Park. There will be 1.5 miles of trail lit with lanterns to guide visitors over forested hills. The trail will start and finish at the Dickinson Picnic Shelter. To ensure we are meeting the requirements outlined in the MDHHS gathering order, pre-registration is required this year and will become available January 1 (Check back here at that time). Groups will register for a specific arrival time in order to assist with social distancing on the trail and there will be a limited number of participants.
If you think you will work up an appetite while hiking? Bring hotdogs and S'mores materials, and reserve a campfire for your household. Campfires will be available in the campground for a small donation of $20 which includes a bundle of wood and the fire starting. All donations will go toward future improvement projects here at the park. There will be an option to reserve a campfire when you register for the event. All donations will be non-refundable.
In the event that the event is canceled due to bad weather or road conditions a text will be sent to the individual that registered your group. If you have other questions please call the park office at 248-634-7271. Cancellations will be determined no later than, Thursday Jan. 28, and will also be posted on the Seven Lakes State Park Facebook page.
