Hardworking Stewardship Volunteers

Meet at the parking lot off Mt. Hope Road just south of Glenn Road. Map/GPS coordinates: 42.312306, -84.209306.

Aid restoration efforts by cutting glossy buckthorn, a terrible wetland invasive shrub that would otherwise takeover this valuable fen ecosystem. Knee-high waterproof boots are highly recommended for this site. Registration is required. Register by emailing Kelsey Dietz at DietzK2@michigan.gov

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the event contact to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.

For more information on the program, visit the Volunteer Stewardship webpage. For more information about invasive species, visit Michigan.gov/Invasives.

Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Stay in the know! Sign up for the parks you're interested in volunteering, and you will be notified about upcoming volunteer stewardship events.
