There is less than 4 miles of residential development around the lake so it is never overcrowded with boats, jet skis or other watercraft. Fishing is a big draw to this lake and it's known for its bluegill population - there is even a Bluegill Festival held every year! There is a public fishing pier and it has a kayak launch attached.
