Lake St. Helen

There is less than 4 miles of residential development around the lake so it is never overcrowded with boats, jet skis or other watercraft. Fishing is a big draw to this lake and it's known for its bluegill population - there is even a Bluegill Festival held every year! There is a public fishing pier and it has a kayak launch attached.

Driving Directions

From I-75 North or South take exit 222, then drive north to the traffic light, turn left, and about a mile on Airport Road is the boat launch. From Roscommon drive south on 76 for about 12 miles until you get to the traffic light, then turn right and go about one mile to the boat launch.
