Sanford Lake (1250 acres) is an impounedment on the Tittabawassee River. It is primarily surrounded by private homes. Midland County has a park located by the dam at the south end of the lake.

From eastbound U.S.10, turn south at the first Sanford exit, which is W. River Rd. From westbound U.S.10, this is the second Sanford exit. Continue south to Irish Rd. and turn left. Follow to the Midland Co. park.
