Van Riper State Park Harvest Festival Sign

You are certain to have a fang-tastic time during our first Harvest Festival weekend. On Friday night, participants can head to our pavilion for a Monster Mash dance. Don't forget to wear a costume! On Saturday there will be face painting (fee involved), a wagon hayride, games, crafts, a campsite decorating contest, and a children's costume contest, and to round out the evening there will be trick-or-treating and our infamous haunted hike. On Sunday morning, the winners of the site decorating contest and children's costume contest are announced at our campground host site during coffee. Detailed schedules will be available closer to the event date. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook @VanRiperSP to stay up to date on park happenings.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
