Iron Belle Trail Fund Campaign
The Iron Belle Trail Fund Campaign is a major fund-raising effort to create a seamless, 2,000-mile trail – with two distinct routes, one for bicycling and one for hiking – that connects Michigan from Belle Isle in Detroit to Ironwood in the western Upper Peninsula. The fund campaign aims to raise $135 million in private funds to support the work necessary to finish the trail, which currently is 70 percent completed.
