Approximately 1,125 scouts, representing 78 scouting organizations across the state, traveled 4,873 miles on Michigan trails, including the Iron Belle Trail, for National Trails Day on June 1, 2019. Since 2015, thousands of Michigan scouts have celebrated National Trails Day by walking more than 35,000 miles on the Iron Belle Trail.

In September you can show further support by participating in a stewardship project on National Public Lands Day, Sept. 21, 2019.

Each person who participated in the hike will receive a commemorative patch. If you also choose to return in September and do trail maintenance, you will receive a rocker patch to attach to the hiking patch.
