Department of Natural Resources
May 28, 2020
|The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will host a virtual public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, to gather public feedback on a new draft phase 2 general management plan for Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area in Oakland County.
The virtual public meeting will be formatted similar to other open houses, including a review of the draft plan and planning process, followed by an opportunity for people to share feedback and questions with DNR staff.
Advance registration for the GoToWebinar meeting is required, and a recording of the meeting will be posted by June 18. A meeting registration link and copy of the draft management plan are available at Michigan.gov/PontiacLake.
People also can share comments via email through June 25 to LincolnM@Michigan.gov.
|The phase 2 general management plan defines a long-range (10- to 20-year) planning and management strategy that will help the DNR protect and preserve the site’s natural and cultural resources and provide access to land- and water-based public recreation and educational opportunities.
