Gov. Whitmer and the state Department of Health and Human Services recently announced that Michigan will align with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance that says fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, with some exceptions. Here are some guidelines on what visitors can expect at DNR-managed locations and facilities, and some steps the DNR is taking to ensure continued public health and safety:
- People who are not fully vaccinated should continue wearing a mask when inside any enclosed public building, including (but not limited to) bathrooms, shower buildings, visitor centers, historical museums and beach houses. Please refer to the MDHHS Gatherings and Face Mask Order for more information.
- Drinking fountains at all DNR locations will remain closed until further notice.
