Two days’ worth of the latest firewood business trends and innovations are on the agenda for the upcoming National Firewood Workshop Wednesday and Thursday, June 20 and 21, in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
Sponsored by Michigan State University, the workshop offers education and networking opportunities, including demonstrations by firewood processors and kiln manufacturers, classroom discussions on sourcing, marketing and automation, and the latest information on state and national regulations.
The program is designed for industry professionals from across the U.S. – everyone involved in firewood, from roadside vendors to interstate producers. Continuing education credits will be available for foresters and arborists.
The workshop takes place at Michigan State University’s Saginaw Valley Research and Extension Center, 3775 S. Reese Road, Frankenmuth. It opens at 8:30 a.m. June 20 and closes at noon June 21.
The workshop cost is $35 per person. Some space is still available.
