Ladies Shooting Day will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12.
The free event offered by LSSC is part of a continuing series of workshops aimed at promoting family involvement and encouraging new participants in hunting, trapping and shooting sports.
This non-competitive shooting workshop will focus on the safe and enjoyable use of handguns, rifles, and archery equipment. All necessary equipment will be provided.
"Safety talks, instructions for use, and a lot of shooting time are part of the agenda at this free workshop," said LSSC President Walt Toepfer. "Participants do not need to be club members to take advantage of this fun-filled event."
If participants wish, they may bring their own handguns, rifles, ammunition, and/or archery equipment. Shooters should bring their own eye and ear protection if available. The club will have limited supplies.
All ladies are welcome, but anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
This indoor event has a limited number of openings and preregistration is required.
The address for the Lake Superior Sportsman’s Clubhouse is 31433 West M-64, near Silver City.
For more information about this and upcoming workshops, or to preregister, contact DNR Program Coordinator Bob Wild (906) 885-5206.
