Submission Criteria

The DNR's Gather 'Round blog is dedicated to telling the stories of everyday people in the outdoors and fostering an interest in the beautiful world around us. If you'd like to submit a story for consideration, send an email to KukukE1@Michigan.gov with the subject line "Gather 'Round Submission" and include:

• Your story pitch.
• A high-quality headshot, a brief bio and 1-2 short writing samples, if available. Any previous publication experience is considered, but not required.
  • Pre-written stories are accepted, provided they have not been published previously.
• High-resolution accompanying photos, videos, or audio files intended for publication.
• If a specific season is desired for publication, it should be noted in bold at the top of the email.
