The July 4th youth bike parade has become a tradition that spans across generations. Decorating everything people can think of with the red, white and blue from bikes to wagons to strollers to pets has become customary for this event in which kids and parents parade through the campground to show their patriotic spirit as delighted spectators throughout the campground show their support. People will gather at the park headquarters around 9:45 a.m. once assembled the group will be lead by the park explorer guide through the campground making one loop, that includes almost all campground roads, then reconvening at the headquarters for a treat. The entire event should take approximately a half hour.     

Please decorate items in advance to meeting up at park headquarters. Small children need to be accompanied by an adult. This event is open to the public.   

There is no registration or age groups any longer. Everyone gets to walk together with their friends and family. 

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
