The COVE Benefit Beach Walk/Run (5K Walk/Run and 10K Run) begins and ends at Charles Mears State Park. All of the races will be officially timed by RunSignUp.com (Runner's Edge). Finishing Medals will be awarded to all participants. The 5K Walk/Run includes a combination of pavement, dirt road, and 1/2 mile on the beach. Participants may get there feet wet if it is windy with high waves on Lake Michigan. The 10K Run will also include a combination of pavement with 2.5 miles on the beach. The COVE Beach Walk/Run is a unique opportunity for participants to run along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
