Paddle from Bowers Harbor to Powe Island 3 miles open water, leave your boat/board on beach, run/walk around the island on two and single track 2.2 miles and paddle back to finish at Bowers Harbor.
There is also a non competitive option for team of TWO to complete the whole course as a team – to complete, not to compete, the Rapa Nui.
Must be able to swim, 18 years or older (younger participants with Parental/Guardian release form signed).
ALL boats/ boards have to use Coast Guard approved PFD (life vests) .
Registration is $70. Sign up for the Rapa Nui Event.
Event will be held rain or shine. Participants safety is important to us, so organizers reserve the right to cancel the event in case of extreme weather conditions – gusty or consistent winds in excess of 20mph or thunderstorms.
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
