Mears State Park - Luminous Trail

2023-09-16T00:00:00Z 2023-09-17T02:30:00Z Mears State Park - Luminous Trail

For two nights only the Old Baldy trail will be lit up for a wondrous night hike experience. The trail will be lit right at dusk. We will try to accommodate everyone wanting to walk the trail but the lights will have to be turned off between 10:30 or 11 p.m. to not disturb campers. Visitors who are not camping should park in the beach parking lot and walk to the back of the campground as the trail head is located near the campground bathroom building. Participants should bring a flashlight or other luminary for the walk between the parking lot and the trail. Campers are encouraged to light up their campsite and join in the "glow". Camping reservations are encouraged. For more information, please call the park.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
