Ionia State Recreation Area - Enchanted Borealis Trail
Ionia State Recreation Area - Enchanted Borealis Trail
Please join us for a unique night hike with a fun holiday feel. Meander down one of our hiking trails that is lit by lanterns and enjoy some colorful holiday lights along the way. You can enjoy some time with family and friends around a campfire by the lake for S'mores or roasting marshmallows (you must provide your own items). There will also be 10 private firepits available for a fee. This is a fundraiser for the park to do future improvement projects. The Enchanted Borealis event will take place from 5pm to 8pm on December 8th - 9th and registration is recommended, for all but required for private fires. The point area is open to everyone, the campground area is reservation only. Join us!
Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. The trails traverse low and uneven terrain. Some areas may have puddling water. Please note that all campfires will be extinguished once the event ends at 8pm.
