Paddle around Belle Isle – both competitive and non-competitive paddle event for ALL human propelled paddle crafts – competitive categories - Kayaks, SUP, Canoes, Surf ski, Outrigger Canoe and Prone.
There is a non-competitive option for team of TWO to complete the whole course as a team!
ALL boats/ boards must use Coast Guard approved PFD (life vests), follow Coast Guard safety rules for Open water and International Shipping Channel boating.
Event will be held rain or shine. Participants safety is important to us, so organizers reserve the right to cancel the event without refund in case of extreme weather conditions – gusty or consistent winds in excess of 20mph or thunderstorms.
Registration is $70.
Registration for the Belle Isle Classic will open in March 2024.
A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit MIDNRReservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.
