The Outdoor Skills Academy pro-staff will walk through the ins and outs of starting a trap line. This two-day class will cover both land and water trapping, covering topics including how to set dirt and water sets, lures and scouting.

We will start each day in the classroom and then move to the hiking trails around the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center. The trails are ADA-accessible and easy to walk. Once outside, we will demonstrate how to set your trap line, spot animal sign, etc. You’ll leave with the firsthand experience that will increase your chances of success this upcoming trapping season.

Cost for this class is $45, which includes lunch, a trapping book and a trap.
