Nov. 9, Whitetail Processing and Cooking Clinic
This class will cover field processing, skinning, deboning and prepping venison for grinding and cooking and preparing wild foraged foods to be cooked. Instructors will demonstrate how to make a venison smoked summer sausage and preparing and preserving wild foraged foods. The class varies from year to year, but recipes/techniques covered have included holiday smoked fish dip, venison hot dogs, breakfast sausage, smoking techniques and more.
Discounts on onX maps and other products will be available for students.
Cost for this class is $60. Registration is required.
To register for this class, go to Michigan.gov/DNRLicenses and click on the "Purchase a license" button. Sign in (using either a username and password or your ID and birthdate), and find the class under the Outdoor Skills Academy tab. If you should need to request a refund after registering, please contact our License Sales and Customer Service help desk line at 800-737-6367.
Please note cancellation policy: Cancellations made any time after processing this reservation until the close of business two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel after the two-week deadline, no refund will be issued. Students are entitled to any of the materials purchased for the class after the two-week deadline, except materials that have a shelf life.
