David Magno

Before working with the State of Michigan, David worked for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Sea Lamprey Control Program, where he implemented Department of Interior safety standards in the maintenance facility, served as the technical point of contact for construction projects and as the Heavy Equipment Safety Trainer, provided safety training to USFWS Region 3 service employees.  He served as the Collateral Duty Safety Officer and served as a member of the Station Safety Committee.  David also designed shop safety programs, implemented policy standards and conducted safety audits.  Along with his professional safety accomplishments, David is an Outdoor Emergency Care Technician and a member of National Ski Patrol.

David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Northern Michigan University in 1998.  He also completed the welding certification program from Northern Michigan University in 2016.
