The Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) provides training, tools, and resources that enable State of Michigan employees to drive positive organizational change. The OCI works directly with all state departments to engage employees in order to improve government services for Michiganders.
To foster a statewide culture where employees are engaged, empowered and recognized for their contributions, the Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) has surveyed all 45,000 employees on a regular basis. The 2012 survey provided a baseline against which future progress could be assessed. The 2013 survey showed the impact action plans were having on employee engagement. The 2015 survey provided evidence that together we are positively changing the culture in the State of Michigan. In 2017 we saw significant improvement in the level of overall employee engagement. In 2018 we saw sustained momentum in employee engagement.
