9th Annual Meet the Buyers: A Procurement Matchmaking Event

State of Michigan Procurement will be attending  the 9th Annual Meet the Buyers: A Procurement Matchmaking Event.

The following is info from the event organizer:

The Schoolcraft College PTAC would like to invite you to participate in the 9th Annual Meet the Buyers: A Procurement Matchmaking Event, to be held at Schoolcraft College on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Registration opens at 8:30am and the program runs from 9:00am to 2:00pm. This event is a collaborative effort between the Schoolcraft College PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center), The SBA (Small Business Administration), and the MI-SBDC (Michigan Small Business Development Center).

Last year this event sold out at 200 attendees, most of which are Small Businesses.

The Format:

  • Meet with small businesses in a roundtable setting to explain your buying procedures and what your agency purchases 
  • Each roundtable session will last for 20 minutes
  • The session at each table will consist of 7 businesses and a buyer or procurement professional from a federal, state or local government agency 

This will also give you an opportunity to identify companies with which you would like to do business.  During this interaction, each business will get a solid understanding of your purchasing process, and you will be able to ask questions of the businesses.
