Lansing – Students at Michigan’s 15 public universities and 28 community colleges are finding more success, according to data reported today by the state’s Center for Educational Performance and Information.
The success rates report now includes a breakdown of rates by student demographics, allowing the metrics to be viewed by race/ethnicity, gender, and race/ethnicity by gender.
Statewide, rates for community college students increased across all years, while success rates for university students either increased or remained stable. The rates can be found on CEPI’s MI School Data website.
“Year-over-year, the success rates of our public university and community college students continues to improve,” said CEPI Director Tom Howell. “The data show us that Michigan college students, like their peers across the nation, are taking a bit longer than the traditional two- and four-year cycles, but they are finding greater success in college.”
