EGLE Media Office, EGLE-Assist@Michigan.gov, 517-284-9278
Nov. 5, 2019; 2-3 p.m. EST
In 2018, Michigan established the strictest lead and copper standards for drinking water in the nation. Municipal water systems from across the state have submitted 2019 data and the results are giving state and local authorities new insights into the presence of legacy lead service lines targeted for replacement throughout the state. In this media webinar, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Drinking Water and Environmental Health director, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ Environmental Health director will explain the basics of Michigan’s Lead and Copper Rule, take questions and show participants how to access testing results on the state’s MI Lead Safe website, Michigan.gov/MILeadSafe.
Register for the webinar, which is set for 2-3 p.m. EST, Nov. 5, 2019.
