As a part of this year’s Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Earth Day Celebration, MDEQ Director Liesl Eichler Clark will be honoring the winners of the 2019 Earth Day poster contest. The contest has raised environmental awareness to students from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade from all over Michigan by giving them an opportunity to design what they think Earth Day is all about.
This year, over 2,200 posters were submitted, and 12 winners were selected, a 1st and 2nd Place winner from each grade. Students from across the state of Michigan have shown us once again what they love about our environment.
Participant posters will be decorating the walls of Constitution Hall during Earth Day, and a ceremony will take place for the 12 winners.
