EPA Approved Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs)

Total Maximum Daily Load: A document that describes the process used to determine how much pollutant a lake or stream can assimilate and meet water quality standards.

Note: An informational TMDL is one where water quality standards are currently being met but are close to falling below acceptable levels; the intent is to protect the waterbody from any further degradation.
