Catalyst Communities
Catalyst Communities
The Catalyst Communities Initiative is a comprehensive initiative to provide education, training, planning and technical resources to local public officials as they prepare for climate impacts on emergency response and public health.
The Catalyst Communities program takes a multi-tiered approach to providing communities across the state with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to take steps toward a just transition to decarbonization. This program aims to provide a range of options to meet communities wherever they are, regardless of geography, population size, or pre-existing knowledge.
Training Opportunities
Webinars
Michigan has 1,856 local jurisdictions, ranging from the big cities to the small villages and townships, and each community may have different resources, staffing or departments they manage. Catalyst Communities webinars and events are free to communities, recorded and then posted online for future viewing, which takes out the constraints of time, travel and cost for communities.
Workshops
Catalyst Communities workshops are cohort based opportunities for Michigan communities to work together on a common, specific topic with the guidance of a facilitator.
