First "EGLE Explains" video looks at how the department regulates oil and gas wells in Michigan

Oil and gas production have a long history in Michigan. In fact, Michigan has over 18,000 active oil and gas wells throughout the state. The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) regulates these wells to ensure that Michigan's environment and public health is protected.
