New story map looks at electric vehicle fast-chargers funded partly by EGLE

Vehicle manufacturers are investing billions of dollars into developing electric vehicles. The companies foresee a future where their entire fleets -- from compact SUVs to full-size pick-ups to commercial fleet vehicles -- will be powered by batteries instead of fossil fuels. The transportation evolution means fewer air pollutants from the transportation sector, which accounted for 29 percent --  the largest portion -- of total U.S. greenhouse gases emissions nationwide in 2019.

The story map includes locations of operational fast-chargers.
