Michigan PFAS Action Response Team to update Oscoda residents on PFAS investigation

October 7, 2020

The Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) will update residents in the Oscoda area on its continuing investigation of PFAS contamination near the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base and Oscoda area sites on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

MPART representatives from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE); the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS); and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources along with District Health Department No. 2 will host a virtual community meeting on October 20, 2020 from 6–8 p.m.

The October 20 meeting is planned as an online event, rather than an in-person meeting to comply with current state measures designed to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Register for and participate in the 6–8 p.m. online meeting. After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions online.

Individuals without internet access can listen to the meeting by calling this toll-free number, 213-787-0529, and entering the conference code 881478#.

The meeting will be recorded and posted along with materials within a few days on the PFAS Response website under
