Continuing Education:  This workshop is approved for 0.3 Drinking Water and Wastewater CECs in the managerial category, 3 CEHs for Professional Engineers, and 4 Credit Hours for Certified Fire Inspectors.

Emergency Preparedness for Michigan Facilities and their Communities

SARA Title III, also known as the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, requires facilities to report hazardous chemical inventories to state and local officials that can be vital to emergency planning and the safety of the community.

These SARA Title III Tier Two In-Person Workshops will provide an overview of program regulations, reporting requirements, emergency planning requirements, and a step-by-step tutorial on logging into Tier II Manager and initiating a 2023 Tier II Annual Report. Time has also been set aside to answer questions and assistance in logging into Tier ll Manager.

This in-person workshop is recommended for owners, operators, and environmental and safety personnel of facilities that have hazardous materials on site. Environmental consultants, LEPCs, and fire department personnel can also benefit from this workshop and are encouraged to attend.
