Basic Cross Connections Course - Spring 2025
Basic Cross Connections Course - Spring 2025
In-Person Training
The purpose of this is to teach the principles of cross connection control as they relate to public water supply systems. The need for continued training in the field of cross connection control in Michigan is readily apparent given the major incidents of backflow that have occurred in water utilities in recent years. Cross connections on public water supply distribution systems continue to pose a distinct threat to potable water supplies. Learn how cross connections affect public health, potential risks, liabilities, and how to conduct surveys and carry out enforcement actions. This course will cover the type of devices and assemblies used, where to look for them, and how to implement a cross connection program. It will cover the documentation requirements and how to fill it out your reports for your cross connection program.
