EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.
The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

The SAW program was established in 2013 to help municipalities develop, update, and improve asset management plans for their wastewater and stormwater systems. Most communities use the funding to create asset management plans to help save money, better provide services, and to inform their rate payers on the current and future needs of the systems. Since inception of the program 590 grants have been awarded. The program has met the funding capacity and no new applications are being accepted at this time.

EGLE has created a series of three dashboards to provide grant data to interested stakeholders in an interactive and summarized format. The data for the series of dashboards was gathered from the deliverables of SAW grants. These mainly include grants that are wastewater asset management plan (WAMP) grants, stormwater asset management plan (SWAMP) grants, and combined SWAMP and WAMP projects.
The three dashboards are 1. Overview Dashboard, 2. Stormwater Dashboard, and 3. Wastewater Dashboard.
The seventh and final round of SAW grants were awarded in April 2020. Below is a summary of the program by the numbers:

Section 603 of Public Act 84 of 2015, established a new grant condition for SAW Asset Management Plan (AMP) recipients. All SAW AMP grant recipients must submit a summary of the AMP, which includes identification of the major assets of the plan, AND a copy of the AMP must be made available to the public for at least 15 years. The summary of the AMP must be submitted with the Wastewater or Stormwater AMP Certification of Project Completeness once the grant activities are completed. This new grant condition only applies if you accept the SAW grant. If you wish to decline your SAW AMP grant, please contact your project manager.
