LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Energy Office (MEO) will host a focus group for electric vehicle (EV) drivers from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 in Lansing. The focus group is the same day as an EV ride and drive at the Michigan Agency for Energy (MAE).

Input from focus group participants on topics such as charging experiences, wait times, spacing of chargers, number of available chargers and preferred siting locations will help inform EV-related programs offered by the MEO.

The MEO is the administrator of the zero emission vehicle funds from the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust funds award to Michigan and will be engaged in funding EV charging infrastructure over the next 10 years.

EV owners interested in participating in the focus group – limited to 25 people – should contact Joy Wang at wangj3@michigan.gov by Thursday, Sept. 6. Lunch will be included.

The focus group discussion will take place at the MAE offices, 7109 W. Saginaw Highway, Lansing.
