FLINT, Mich. - In just over a two-week time period, 176,118 cases of water and 93,048 water filters have been provided to Flint residents, both at water resource sites and by water response teams. Water response teams comprised of city, county and state personnel, American Red Cross and volunteers continued their door-to-door efforts, today visiting another 2,596 homes providing free bottled water, filters, water replacement cartridges and water testing kits.

Now that water response teams have completed two canvasses of the city providing water resources, the Michigan National Guard has scaled back their commitment from approximately 270 soldiers and Airmen to 70 soldiers who continue to staff water resource sites.
