Gov. Rick Snyder makes appointment to the Commission on Middle-Eastern American Affairs

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Adel Mozip, of Dearborn, to the Commission on Middle-Eastern American Affairs.
Established by Executive Order 2015-6, the 15-member commission was created to act in an advisory capacity to the Governor and the director of the Department of Civil Rights.
“Adel is an experienced and talented professional and I look forward to the contributions he will make to the board,” Snyder said.
Mozip is a software developer for Urban Science Inc and a managing director of Sheba4Tech LLC. He previously served as an associate developer for Compuware Corp. and as a creative designer for the Yemeni American News. He was a member of the American Association of Yemeni Students and Professionals National Public Relations. Mozip earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is completing his master’s in business administration at Wayne State University. He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Paul Sophiea.
Mozip will serve the remainder of an initial two-year term expiring April 19, 2017. The appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
