Gov. Rick Snyder makes reappointment to the Unarmed Combat Commission

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Bronco McKart of Monroe to the Unarmed Combat Commission.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the 11-member commission oversees professional boxing and mixed martial arts events.
"Bronco is well-established in unarmed combat and I am confident his vast experience will serve boxers well," Snyder said.
McKart is a retired professional boxer with more than 20 years of experience in the boxing industry and is currently serving as the district supervisor for the Monroe County Road Commission. He won the World Boxing Organization Junior Middleweight World Champion and the International Boxing Association Junior Middleweight World Champion titles in 1992. He will continue to represent individuals with experience, knowledge or background in boxing.
McKart will serve a four-year term expiring June 5, 2022. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
