April 30, 2016: Window Film Day

WHEREAS, window film aids in the savings of significant energy in the United States; and,

WHEREAS, window film provides a more safe and secure environment for home owners, public buildings and retail establishments; and,

WHEREAS, window film helps screen out dangerous solar rays from impacting the health of commercial drivers to help protect them from skin cancer and their eyes from solar glare; and,

WHEREAS, window film has been proven to be one of the most cost-effective means of reducing our carbon footprint; and,

WHEREAS, window film provides entrepreneurial opportunities for small business people to serve their communities; and,

WHEREAS, nearly 80 percent of all window film in the world is manufactured in the United States by leading companies and offers significant economic benefits at all levels including employment, energy savings, improved health, and the reduction of our carbon footprint;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Rick Snyder, governor of Michigan, do hereby proclaim April 30, 2016 as Window Film Day in Michigan.
