WHEREAS, Connecting with others and working together through volunteer service can help bridge the differences separating people; and,
WHEREAS, The American people and the citizens of Michigan, have a tradition of philanthropy and volunteerism; and,
WHEREAS, Nonprofit organizations, schools, corporations, houses of worship, families, neighborhoods and friends serve together to make a difference; and,
WHEREAS, 2015 marks the 24th annual Make A Difference Day held in collaboration with Points of Light and USA Today; and,
WHEREAS, The State of Michigan supports a vibrant community to enrich the lives of our citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Rick Snyder, governor of Michigan, do hereby proclaim October 24, 2015 as Make A Difference Day in Michigan.
