Snyder makes reappointment to State Historical Records Advisory Board

LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the reappointment of Kevin Graffagnino, of Saline, to the State Historical Records Advisory Board.
Housed within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the seven-member board oversees historical records planning and National Historical Publications and Records Commission-funded projects in the state.
“Kevin has been a valuable board member and I am thankful for his willingness to continue serving,” Snyder said.
Graffagnino is director of the William L. Clements Library at the University of Michigan He served as the executive director and CEO of the Vermont Historical Society, Kentucky Historical Society, and the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. Graffagnino was also co-founder and co-owner of Vermont Heritage Press, and the Proprietor of J.K. Graffagnino Books. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in American history at the University of Vermont and his Ph.D. in history at the University of Massachusetts.
Graffagnino will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2018. His appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
