Migrant Labor Camp License
The Environmental Stewardship Division (ESD) with the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, has the responsibility for reviewing annual applications for licensing of agricultural labor camps under the authority of Part 124 of the Michigan Public Health Code, 1978 PA 368, as amended. The purpose of the licensing is to inspect agricultural labor camps as defined by the act to ensure that the housing and the site is established and maintained in a manner to protect the health and safety of the migrant farm workers and their families that occupy the sites.
